I wanted to choose a Haiti related pick this month, and I learned of this one while watching Larry King when I was in America a few weeks ago. I saw an interview with Maria Bello and she got me when she said this sentence: "We have no overhead and 100% is going to the Haitians."

I did a little more digging and decided this was a good one:

Founded by award winning writer/director Paul Haggis (Crash), 100% of their donations are going directly to work! They have the same feeling I do - that even the smallest amount helps, so please take 2 minutes and give something to them this month!!! A DOLLAR OR A EURO PEOPLE WILL MAKE A DIFF!

They have people on the ground in Haiti (one person who's been there working for several decades) and they are using the money to help dig people out of the collapsed hospitals and schools, to buy emergency medicine, to supply badly needed water and food, to help fly in doctors for the wounded children, and so much more. Their website has up to date updates about their progress.


Thank you again to all who read this as I do believe that if it's not in
your power to donate every month, at least DIG DEEP [A Charity Experiment] is providing some awareness for charities that you may revisit at a later date. (BUT - Remember this only works if we all just give whatever we can, even if it's a dollar/euro whatever!!! Think about Dig Deep when you're buying a cup of coffee or something small and take a few minutes to give what you can once a month, I say it every month, but as a group to these smaller charities, we are making a difference! Ok, I'm done preaching! ;)
